Serica Moisturizing Scar Formula and Serica Moisturizing Stretch Mark Formula from Cynova Laboratories, formulated with a special blend of ingredients, including Amazonian Pracaxi oil and a patented network of semipermeable silicones, are intended to help to improve the appearance of scars and stretch marks.

Serica Moisturizing Scar Formula and Serica Moisturizing Stretch Mark Formula offer quick-drying and non-staining formulas. Pracaxi oil, known for its highly moisturizing properties, is derived from the seed of the Pentaclethra macroloba (Pracaxi) tree found in the Amazon rainforest. Pracaxi oil contains essential fatty acids; behenic and linoleic acids, which work synergistically to promote skin elasticity and moisture retention.

Serica Moisturizing Scar Formula may help patients who experience scars resulting from surgical procedures, lacerations, burns, cuts, and acne. Proven to reduce the appearance of scars as well as the leading scar product, this proprietary formula can show visible improvements in thickness, color, and overall scar severity in as early as one week, Cynova says. Serica’s patented semipermeable silicone polymer network provides skin barrier protection and reduces water loss while allowing oxygenation. The unique formula also features phospholipids, naturally derived compounds thought to help restore the skin’s barrier function, as well as Oenocarpus bataua fruit oil, (also known as Patauá oil), an Amazonian oil rich in fatty acids which acts as a powerful moisturizing agent and may promote skin elasticity.

Serica Moisturizing Stretch Mark Formula is specially formulated to improve the appearance of stretch marks caused by pregnancy, weight gain, and/or weight loss or exercise such as weight lifting. If applied three times daily, visible improvements will be seen between eight to twelve weeks. This effective formula contains Plukenetia volubilis seed oil, also known as sacha inchi oil, which is high in linoleic acid, and is thought to help even out skin tone. Additionally, Serica Moisturizing Stretch Mark Formula contains derivatives of Centella asiatica (Indian pennywort) from Madagascar, which are rich in amino acids, beta carotene, fatty acids and phytochemicals.
