E-Class.
Delivering emollient effects while helping to calm itch and inflammation, Ferndale Laboratories' new Pramosone E (hydrocortisone acetate 2.5%, pramoxine HCl 1%) Cream is now available. Featuring the patented Lipocream vehicle, Pramosone E contains a lipid in water “reverse emulsion.” The company says the new formulation is cosmetically elegant and easy to spread. Pramosone E Cream is recommended for control of mild to moderate AD flares. With its occlusive effects and high lipid content, Pramosone E Cream diminishes TEWL (trans-epidermal water loss) so the skin is able to retain more moisture. Pramoxine HCl 1% in the formula is a topical anesthetic to relieve itch.

Brand New Look. Products you and your patients know well have a brand new look. SkinMedica has introduced redesigned packaging for its line of professional skin care products, including the TNS Essential Serum and TNS Recovery Complex. Developed after market research and physician practice experience, the company says, the new packaging boasts sleek, oval tubes and airless dispensing systems. Ergonomically designed, they appeal to the largely female target consumer, and the step-based product color-coding make finding the right product simple.

Away with Scars.
Silicone Scar Sheets may be a non-invasive way to fade, flatten and shrink hypertrophic, keloid, acne or existing scars at home. Using patented Silon technology previously only available through hospitals, burn centers or plastic surgeons, ScarAway Silicone Scar Sheets significantly reduce scars in just 12 weeks or less, the company says. Their breathable, flexible, opaque fabric backing, allows the sheets to conceal and heal at the same time. Also available are ScarAway C-Section Sheets, sized (1.5” x 7”) for scars resulting from Caesarean section incisions.
