Midmark introduces New Procedure Chair for Enhanced Patient and Provider Experience

05/07/2025

Midmark Corp. has announced the launch of the Midmark® 647 Procedure Chair, a new power chair designed to improve patient positioning, safety, and clinical workflow across dermatology, aesthetic, and other outpatient procedure settings.

According to a release from the manufacturer, the Midmark 647 features powered foot and back sections with active-arm lock assist, allowing for greater adjustability without compromising patient security. Its stable design supports a range of dermatologic procedures, particularly those involving the head and neck, where precise positioning is critical.

“Patient safety, comfort, and accessibility are paramount, but caregivers must also be supported through smart ergonomic design,” said Kurt Forsthoefel, director of medical marketing at Midmark, in the news release. “The 647 chair is engineered with features to reduce strain on clinicians while maintaining ideal positioning during procedures.”

The chair’s new active-assist arms enable providers to adjust arm supports with one hand while securing them with the other. Combined with a wider seat base and a 450-pound weight capacity, the 647 accommodates diverse patient needs. Other updates include improved ergonomics, streamlined cleaning surfaces, and a contemporary aesthetic overhaul.

The Midmark 647 is now available through authorized Midmark distributors.
