Senté is expanding their family of skincare products with the upcoming launch of Intensive Bio Complete Cream.

Slated to be available on Feb. 11, 2019, the new nighttime cream is an “advanced retinol,” explains Virginia L. Vega, Ph.D., Senté ’s Vice President, Research & Development and Physician Education at a media pre-launch event in New York City.

The retinol is encapsulated so it melts into the skin and is less likely to cause irritation, she says. The cream also comprises DSA (Dermatan Sulfate Analog) and CSA (Chondroitin Sulfate Analog) – two proprietary glycosaminoglycan analogs -- which serve as natural water binders that aid in controlling inflammation.

Jeanine Downie, MD Director of Image Dermatology, P.C., in Montclair, NJ, was on hand to share her experiences with the crowd. “It’s a usable product that shows tangible results,” she says. Dr. Downie advises some patients to use the new cream nightly with moisturizer but has others use it every other night if they are sensitive to retinol.

Fully 95 percent of subjects reported significant improvements at every time point for wrinkles, firmness, discoloration and overall skin appearance—with great tolerability, she says. More than 70 percent of patients reported such improvements in as early as two weeks. The new cream can also help fade lentigines – with less downtime than lasers, Dr. Downie says.
