Social media is driving patients into cosmetic dermatologists' offices, particularly millennial patients, say Noelani E. Gonzalez, MD and host Joshua Zeichner, MD. These platforms have allowed for a wide range of consumers to easily learn about available treatments and even particular brands of fillers, toxins, and lasers. And although it can be a benefit to have informed patients, Dr. Gonzalez says it's important for dermatologists to be aware of trends being driven by social media, like "Kylie Jenner Lips", and be ready to help patients make the right choices for the procedures and treatments that work for them.
