Ulthera to Expand Operations
02/10/2012
Ulthera, Inc. (www.ultherapy.com) is expanding its operations to include the manufacturing of various components of its technology, part of a growth plan anticipated to create more than 100 new, high-wage jobs and result in $1.68 million of capital investment by 2014. Ulthera, developing aesthetic and medical applications using therapeutic ultrasound technology, will lease a 35,000 square foot building in Mesa, AZ for its manufacturing facility and new global headquarters.
"Our dynamic growth over the past two years has positioned us to further develop our operational capabilities. We anticipate that adding a manufacturing arm not only will help us to expand our core capabilities at a rapid pace, but it also will benefit our bottom line,” said Matt Likens, president and CEO of Ulthera.
The Ulthera System is cleared by the FDA for use as a non-invasive treatment of the face to lift the eyebrow. More than 800 Ulthera Systems have been sold around the world and nearly 80,000 treatments have been performed using it.
