Results of a survey conducted at the 70th Annual AAD Meeting reveal that an overwhelming majority of dermatologists categorize UPF clothing as a first line of defense in sun protection, followed by sunscreen. Respondents also named their top sunscreen choices. The survey, organized by Coolibar, found that 95.1 percent of American dermatologists consider UPF clothing as a first line defense against sun protection.
