The free Medical Entrepreneur App went live on the Apple Store this month. The app, developed by Steven M. Hacker, MD, provides healthcare providers and medical students with business intelligence and decision making tools before, during, and after private practice. For medical students, the Medical Entrepreneur App asks questions regarding personality, lifestyle, and income preferences to help them select a specialty that best matches their personality. For practicing physicians, the app gives doctors information on line of credit, leasing or buying their next piece of equipment, pro forma budgets, and marketing plans. For providers transitioning out of practice, the app provides tools to value their practice or entrepreneur quizzes to see if their personality matches with entrepreneurs.
