Janssen Biotech, Inc. announced that STELARA was named the 2012 International Prix Galien award winner in Lyon, France. The honor is acknowledgment of the technical, scientific, and clinical research skills necessary to develop innovative medicines and devices. The international Prix Galien Award is given every other year and selected from previous national contest Prix Galien winners. STELARA received the Prix Galien USA Best Biotechnology Product Award in 2011 and the Prix Galien Canada Innovative Product Award in 2010. French pharmacist Roland Mehl first established Prix Galien in 1970, and the international award was inaugurated in 1990.
