Merz North American Provides Educational Grant to Support Dermatology Board Review System

03/27/2014

Merz North America recently provided an educational grant to fund the Derm In-Review system that helps residents prepare for their Board certifying exams free of charge. The system, which has helped prepare more than 9,500 residents nationwide and provided educational resources to almost 10,000 dermatology healthcare professionals, was at risk of discontinuation due to loss of funding until Merz offered its educational grant.

"As a company committed to the future of Dermatology and educational opportunities for members of the specialty, Merz is proud to offer this educational grant to Derm In-Review," Jim Hartman, Vice President and US Head, Aesthetics and OTC for Merz North America said. "We look forward to a continued partnership with this iconic program."

"Our goal is to be a valued partner from the beginning of a Dermatologist's career – stepping in and providing an educational grant to Derm In-Review is simply another way for Merz to further support the specialty of Dermatology," said Greg Besase, Vice President and Head of US Dermatology for Merz North America.

Educational Testing and Assessment Systems, which created Derm In-Review, says it is pleased that its learning system will continue to be available.
