Modernizing Medicine, Inc.'s EMA Dermatology™ was named a finalist for the 2014 SIIA Software CODiE Awards for Best Healthcare IT Solution. Judges select finalists based on presentations they receive of the nominated products, which are then voted on by active SIIA members to determine the winners.

EMA Dermatology is a cloud-based electronic medical record (EMR) system designed by dermatologists for dermatologists and includes a native iPad app. EMA Dermatology adapts to each provider's unique style of practice and produces notes, codes exams and procedures, ePrescribes, orders pathology labs, prints pathology requisitions, and more. According to the company, the solution helps doctors improve efficiencies by cutting down on documentation time and reinforces the doctor-patient bond through a touch-based technology that can be shared at the exam room table. Using EMA Dermatology, doctors spend less time on medical charts and more time treating patients.

The 2014 CODiE awards have over 75 categories organized by industry focuses of Content, Education, and Software. This year's program features 28 Software categories, several of which are new or updated to reflect the latest industry trends. Winners will be announced during a special awards dinner on May 21 in San Francisco during the industry's premier ISV gathering of SaaS, BI, and Cloud providers, called Maximize.
