Kyle M. Coleman, MD, has developed a dermatologic surgery educational series as part of the ASDS Future Leaders Network. The "Better Surgical Education" video series, focusing on dermatologic surgery topics and procedures, will provide additional education opportunities for residency programs.

Dr. Coleman, who practices in Austin, TX said, “In talking to residents from around the country, it became clear to me that ASDS could make an impact in this area."

ASDS members teach the lectures, which are free for residents to view. Dr. Coleman said, “They're the experts in the field…what better way to provide this information than with lectures accessible to all via the Internet and taught by leading dermatologic surgeons?”

Dr. Coleman agrees that allowing easy access to instruction can help standardize resident teaching, thus creating a better future for dermatologic surgeons.
