TruInject Injector Training System Receives Approval of Its Patent

06/13/2014

One of the key patent applications of TruInject Medical Corporation has been allowed by the US Patent Office. The patent is expected to issue shortly.  The patent is for a cosmetic and therapeutic injector training system and is one of many patents filed both domestically and internationally by TruInject Medical Corporation. It was previously published as U.S. Patent Application No. 2014/0120505. The TruInject training system represents a significant advancement and fills an increasing need for location critical injection training. The system will be tested with select doctors over the next several months, and is expected to be widely available by early 2015.
Unlike current head models used in training, the TruInject system allows the trainee to receive immediate and very accurate results about the injection, including how fast and how much he or she is injecting.  The trainee can experiment with adjustments to the procedure in real time, improving and accelerating the trainee's learning experience. The system includes computer visuals that allow the trainee to "peel back" the model head layers to better understand the injection procedure in relation to the needle, skin, muscle, nerves and bone layers affected by the procedure.
"This is an incredibly detailed system using a true to life human head model and a smart syringe " explained Gabrielle Rios, TruInject founder and Chief Executive Officer. "Our goal is to create a comprehensive certified training system that accelerates the learning process for injectors of aesthetic fillers and toxins, increasing doctor skill and confidence in administering the procedures and helping assure patient safety.
"Having been involved in the medical industry for nine years, I saw firsthand the need for a better method of training individuals who use these products," Rios explained. "Traditional training methods take an extraordinarily long time for a doctor to gain skill and confidence, often at the cost of patient safety. This system dramatically accelerates that period, assuring a well-trained professional, which results in increased profits for doctors and repeat business from well-satisfied patients. "
