Skin Cancer Champions Launches New Site
Skin Cancer Champions announced the launch of a new website, skincancerchampions.org, aimed at making it easier for patients to find what they need, engage with resources, and help more people discover the community.
“Our new site is a step forward in making our community more accessible, discoverable, and impactful,” the organization said in a press release.
Founded by Emily S. Ruiz, MD, MPH, and Chrysalyne D. Schmults, MD, MSCE, Skin Cancer Champions is a free online community for anyone navigating non-melanoma skin cancers—including patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
Features of the new website include:
- A user-friendly layout that makes it easy to navigate resources and captures the vision of the growing community
- A public-facing blog featuring resources and more, to share knowledge outside of the community and grow visibility through authentic content and SEO enabled so that over time the site will be easily found on Google searches.
- A sponsor spotlight page to celebrate and elevate the organization’s partners
- A donation link to support the organization’s mission
- Within the community space, a new group for newly diagnosed patients
- A link to register for the free, private community
