Aqua Pharmaceuticals Supports Camp Discovery

Aqua Pharmaceuticals, LLC is demonstrating its commitment to the dermatology community by supporting American Academy of Dermatology’s Camp Discovery and is making a donation up to $5,000 to support the camp.

Camp Discovery is a summer camp designed exclusively for kids undergoing treatment for chronic skin conditions, with five locations throughout the US. Pennsylvania-based Aqua, an Almirall company,  is also considering providing employee volunteer opportunities at the in-state camp. 

During the one-week getaway, campers are treated to the usual perks of camp – swimming, horseback riding, nature trails, etc.—all under the supervision of a team of skincare professionals who provide treatment, support, and counsel for the camps’ guests. Campers are selected based on recommendations from a child’s dermatologist along with the camp’s medical director.

Camp Discovery enables kids to enjoy fun activities in surroundings where counselors are qualified and prepared to help them, allowing the same type of experience kids everywhere can enjoy," stated the President and General Manager of Aqua, Ron Menezes.
