And the Winner Is...Consumer Reports Releases Annual Sunscreen Ratings
Drumroll please…
The annual Consumer Reports sunscreen ratings are in.
Just one product, La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Melt-In Sunscreen Milk, came away with a perfect score of 100 in 2018, making this the fourth year in a row that the product received a perfect score. The second place slot went to Equate's Sport Lotion ($5) with a score of 99, while the only spray formula to receive a perfect score is a Trader Joe's product.
To arrive at their findings, the watchdog group tested 73 products for effective protection against UVA and UVB rays. According to their findings, 24 of the sunscreens worked at less than half of the SPF number on the label. Check out all of the ratings here.
