Cool Change: New CoolSculpting Apps Slash Treatment Time

ZELTIQ^® Aesthetics, Inc. is welcoming a new family of applicators called CoolAdvantage™ at the American Academy of Dermatology Annual Meeting in Washington, D.C.

The CoolAdvantage applicator delivers CoolSculpting^® cooling technology at a lower temperature, cutting treatment time nearly in half.

The CoolAdvantage applicator delivers such safe and efficacious results in just 35 minutes by changing the shape of the applicator cup to increase direct tissue contact and lowering the temperature.

A clinical study that compared the CoolAdvantage enhancements to the commercially available CoolCore™ applicator showed equivalent fat layer reduction measured by ultrasound and blinded photographic review.  The new applicator cup shape led to a 45 percent increase in comfort during the treatment.  Eighty-five percent of the study subjects preferred the CoolAdvantage treatment due to its decreased treatment time and increased comfort.  

CoolAdvantage comes with three interchangeable contours to address multiple treatment areas on the patient:

• CoolFit Advantage™ is ideal for vertical areas of fat such as the inner thigh.
• CoolCore Advantage™ best matches the contours of the abdomen.
• CoolCurve+ Advantage™ is the applicator of choice for flanks.
