Dermwire's Inside Scoop on Hottest Expected AAD2016 Launches

February 29, 2016

The American Academy of Dermatology (AAD)’s annual meeting is the place for skin care companies looking to launch the latest – and hopefully greatest  --- innovations or iterations in skin care products and technologies.

And the 2016 AAD meeting – slated to take place March 4-6, 2016 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C, will prove no exception.

Among scheduled launches:

Lasers, Lights and Energy-based Devices

Sciton is launching Forever Clear BBL, a new application to target active acne and prevent acne scars. This application will be available on BBLTM BroadBand Light System.

Viora  is rolling out V10, a multi-RF technology platform for body contouring, cellulite reduction, skin tightening, resurfacing and rejuvenation. Another new release from Viora, V-FORM, is a handpiece that is compatible with the V10 for contouring and cellulite reduction.

BTL is planning to launch BTL Exilis ULTRA –a device that combines radiofrequency and ultrasound for body shaping and skin rejuvenation – and BTL Cellutone, which can be used as a stand-alone device or in combination with other aesthetic therapies such as non-invasive fat reduction and tightening treatments with the BTL Vanquish ME.

ZELTIQ will introduce a new generation of CoolSculpting applicators, which cut treatment times and allow for procedures to be performed at lower temperatures.

Injectables

Revance is rolling out a new logo and branded website for their topical and injectable versions of botulinum toxin type A.

With their new app, “Take the Xeomin Challenge,” Merz is inviting doctors to see if they can tell the difference between patients treated with Xeomin versus Botox Cosmetic.

The Psoriasis Front

The company will also unveil a new SilkPeel® website, silkpeel.com.

SKIN ACTIVE Retinol + NAG Complex and RESTORE Redness Neutralizing Serum are among the new products slated to be launched from NeoStrata at AAD 2016. NeoStrata SKIN ACTIVE Retinol + NAG Complex promises the maximum benefits of retinol minus the irritation often associated with this compound.
