Dr. B Expands Telehealth Service into Dermatology
Telehealth service Dr. B added several specialties to it service network, including dermatology. The move allows patients to access low or no-cost virtual doctor consultations for a variety of conditions from home.
Dr. B’s online consultation fee is $15 for paying patients, and offers a no-cost option for patients who qualify based on financial need. The new treatments expand upon Dr. B’s telehealth service, which launched earlier this year with treatment for Covid-19, including Paxlovid and molnupiravir (Lagevrio)—the two at-home oral Covid-19 antivirals authorized for use by the FDA.
"With tens of millions of Americans affected by eczema, rosacea and cold sores every year, there’s a high demand for doctor’s appointments. The new dermatology treatment options at Dr. B ensure patients can get treatments without having to wait weeks or pay high prices for care,” Bobby Buka, MD, CEO of The Dermatology Specialists and Head of Strategy at Dr. B, said in a company news release.
