Huma Therapeutics announced the launch Hi Scribe, a generative AI tool for automating clinical documentation and billing, according to a press release from the manufacturer.

Huma Therapeutics, a UK- and US-based digital health company says that its new generative AI-powered clinical documentation tool, available on June 5, 2025, integrates the Huma Cloud Platform, enabling real-time generation of structured clinical notes and billing codes. According to the press release, the technology also syncs with leading EHR systems like EMIS and SystmOne and offers clinicians transcription and documentation capabilities for both in-person and virtual encounters.

“Hi Scribe gives clinicians critical time back,” said Dan Vahdat, CEO and Founder of Huma, in the news release. “We’re excited to roll this out across the 4,500+ health systems and clinics powered by Huma technologies around the world.”

The rollout in the UK includes 870 practices covering 10 million patients, according to Huma. Regulatory clearance from the UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) designates Hi Scribe as a compliant medical device. The platform is also optimized for global deployment, with adherence to enterprise-grade security and interoperability standards via its partnership with Google Cloud, the manufacturer said.

“It’s brought back more of the most satisfying part of practicing medicine—truly engaging and connecting with my patients,” Dr. Ross Dyer-Smith, an NHS general practitioner, said in a press release describing Hi Scribe.
