Applications are being accepted online for the 2019 International Awards for Social Responsibility in Dermatology. 

This third edition of the Awards will recognize social initiatives led by dermatologists having a positive impact on patients and people facing dermatological issues in three main categories:

• Prevention and education on skin health
• Improved quality of life and self-esteem
• Access to care, coverage and surgery.

The project must fall within the scope of a social initiative led by dermatologists as individuals, in an association, or a hospital. Projects must be focused on patients with the aim of improving their physical and psychological well­being, self­ esteem, social integration and skin health, independently from their medical treatment enabling them to re­engage socially. 

An independent committee of five dermatologists from the International League of Dermatological Societies will select the 5 best projects, one from each of the main ILDS geographical regions. 

The winners will each be rewarded with a 20,000€ grant. The Awards announcement will be made during the 24thWorld Congress of Dermatology on Monday, June 10, 2019 in Milan, Italy.
