Kenvue Inc. is rolling out two new topical pain-relieving creams: Tylenol Precise Pain Relieving Cream and Tylenol Precise Cooling Pain Relieving Cream.

These are among the first U.S. product launches from Kenvue since it became a publicly traded company.  Kenvue announced the launches during the PAINWeek Conference 2023 at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Why Tylenol Precise Pain Relieving Cream?

When asked what consumers would change about their topical pain relief options, nearly 40% cited the unpleasant smell and the messy, greasy, or oiliness of current available products. Insights also showed 73% of consumers who use Tylenol orally also use topical remedies, which identified a need for the brand to develop Tylenol Precise Pain Relieving Cream

“Consumers told us they aren’t satisfied with existing topical pain relief options because of their greasiness, harsh scent, or how they can dry out skin. These are the same aspects many of us consider when looking at a lotion for our face and body, “ says Eleanor Small, PhD, Kenvue R&D Product Innovation Team Lead, Global OTC. “We started from an area of strength, leveraging our skin health portfolio and expertise, to create a rapid-absorbing, residue-free cream base that doesn't make skin feel dry, but leaves it feeling moisturized. From there we added proven pain relief ingredients and a massaging hands-free applicator – ultimately making the Tylenol Precise experience fit seamlessly into our consumer's lifestyle without disrupting daily routines."
