Knight Dermatology Institute Partners With Forefront Dermatology

Knight Dermatology Institute (KDI) and Forefront Dermatology have formed a partnership, Physician Growth Partners (PGP) announced in a press release.

Based in Orlando, Florida, KDI is a medically and surgically driven practice with a core focus on skin cancer detection, prevention, and treatment. Established in 2007, KDI has 14 clinicians practicing across four locations.

Forefront, which is backed by Partners Group, will assist KDI with administrative and operational resources as well as provide strategic guidance and leadership, according to the press release.

"Over the years, we experienced incredible success growing our dermatology practice in my hometown community of Central Florida. It became clear, though, that if we wanted to scale further, we needed a strategic partner,” KDI founder and Mohs surgeon Dr. J. Matthew Knight said in the press release. “I interviewed several advisors but had an instant connection with Michael and his team at PGP. Our journey from concept to transaction was lengthy and detailed, but I never felt rushed by the PGP team. They are experienced, thorough, and tireless, and they delivered on their promises. We entertained several great offers, and ended up with the right fit."

PGP CEO and managing partner Michael Kroin said in the release that the partnership will provide KDI with many levers for growth while allowing the practice to maintain its local brand and clinical reputation.
