La Roche-Posay to Sponsor a Patient to Visit Thermal Dermatology Center: Accepting Nominations
La Roche-Posay brand is sponsoring a patient to travel to the Thermal Dermatology center in the town of La Roche-Posay, France this fall. With 8,000 visitors per year, a third of whom are children, the La Roche-Posay thermal center is Europe’s leading thermal dermatology center for sensitive and weakened skin. In addition to the properties of La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water, patients there enjoy treatments provided by nine dermatologists who are involved at every stage of the treatment course. This treatment facility is recognized and accredited by the highest governmental and health authorities.
Eczema is the most commonly treated disorder at La Roche-Posay, with 33% of patients seeking treatment. The treatment involves various water-based therapies including baths and showers to relieve the symptoms of eczema.
All costs associated with the treatment, including roundtrip airfare, room and board at a hotel within walking distance to the Thermal Center, as well as a per diem for local entertainment and travel, will be covered by the La Roche-Posay brand. Costs will be covered for a parent if the patient is a child under the age of 18. In return, La Roche-Posay will film a video with the patient and the doctor for use on the brand’s website as well as to communicate to various members of the press and medical community in an effort to highlight the therapeutic outcomes of balneology (water-based) treatment.
