L'oreal USA Announces Changes In Leadership Within Active Cosmetics Division

12/09/2014

Marc Toulemonde was appointed President of the Active Cosmetics Division of L’Oreal USA. In this role, Mr. Toulemonde will work on the SkinCeuticals, La Roche-Posay, Dermablend, and Vichy brands in the United States.

Mr. Toulemonde brings expertise to the role from his multi-category experience, international rotations, strong ability to understand consumer beauty needs, and his comprehensive profile in general management, sales, and marketing.

Most recently, he led SkinCeuticals as the Global General Manager. Under his leadership, SkinCeuticals’ net revenue increased by 200 percent in four years and now holds the number one global position within the cosmeceutical brand. He has led the international expansion of the brand throughout 10 countries, including China, Korea, and Brazil, by successfully adapting the brand’s business models for each market, including physician-dispensing, retail-driven models as well as pharmacies and e-commerce.

Prior to his term with SkinCeuticals, Mr. Toulemonde held a long, successful career with L’Oreal since joining the company in 1995. After his early experience in the Luxury Division, he joined the Consumer Product Division as Product Manager for Garnier and Maybelline in 1997. In 2000 he was transferred to L’Oréal Paris as Group Product Manager, and then promoted to VP Marketing in 2002. In 2007, he was appointed General Manager Travel Retail for the Consumer Product Division overseeing L’Oreal Paris, Maybelline and Garnier. In July 2008 he was promoted to General Manager of Garnier Spain.

Succeeding Mr. Toulemonde as Global General Manager of SkinCeuticals will be Leslie Harris.  She most recently held the position of Vice President of Global Product Development and Marketing for SkinCeuticals.
