National Physician Assistant Week Celebrates Work of PAs
The American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) is celebrating National Physician Assistant Week October 6-12 to recognize the PA profession and its contributions to the nation’s health. This PA Week, the AAPA wants to spread the word: PAs Go Beyond! Do you know a PA who goes beyond? The AAPA invites you to share your story: click here to share how you or a PA you know has gone above and beyond.
The Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) says it is proud to celebrate National Physician Assistant week and National PA Day, which was initially celebrated October 6, 1987, in honor of the 20th anniversary of the first graduating class of physician assistants. Eugene A. Stead, Jr., MD, who is credited with founding the profession, was born October 6.
During PA Week, SDPA is releasing a series of short videos featuring DermPAs™ discussing their work and the reasons they chose dermatology as a specialty. Follow the SDPA on social media to watch the videos.
