Nerium International Announces Exclusive Usage of Anti-Aging Ingredient SIG-1273

04/12/2015

Nerium International added new ingredient, SIG-1273®, to the Optimera Formula of its Age-Defying Night and Day Creams. Engineered by Princeton University biochemist, Jeffry Stock, SIG-1273 is the result of 20 years of intensive biomedical skincare research, according to Nerium. This molecule was perfected and patented as SIG-1273 after the creation and study of 1,272 preliminary molecules.

SIG-1273 treats the symptoms of aging—such as fine lines, wrinkles, enlarged pores and discoloration— and it also addresses their root causes, the company explains. SIG-1273 works by mimicking and boosting the skin's natural age-fighting mechanism effectively enhancing the skin's ability to combat the oxidative stress that can lead to skin damage. The result is younger, healthier-looking skin.

"SIG-1273 is a true breakthrough in the world of science-based skincare," said creator Jeffry Stock, PhD. "We created more than 1,000 iterations of this molecule, over the course two decades, before harnessing the most effective version of this ingredient. SIG-1273 is remarkable in that it is not only able to address the symptoms of aging, but it is actually able to target the root causes as well, helping to combat skin damage at the source."

"It's a milestone to be able to take an already transformative product to the next level with some of the most advanced scientific technology in the world," said Jeff Dahl, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Nerium. "We are proud to unveil the new Optimera Formula, featuring SIG-1273, and to share the groundbreaking benefits of this new ingredient with our international customers. Nerium prides itself on pioneering the innovation necessary to create some of the most effective skincare products on the market. With the addition of SIG-1273, we continue on the path of providing next-generation, anti-aging solutions directly to our consumers."
