Organon is launching a new multi-channel creative campaign for VTAMA (tapinarof) cream, 1% that draws on science fiction and space-inspired storytelling to engage dermatology clinicians and emphasize the product's novel mechanism of action.

Built around the tagline, "It's not science fiction, it's Skin Science," the campaign uses extraterrestrial imagery and themes to distinguish VTAMA in an increasingly competitive topical dermatology landscape. According to Organon, the initiative is designed to highlight the product's first-in-class status as a steroid-free, prescription aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) agonist while reinforcing its clinical profile in the treatment of chronic inflammatory skin diseases.

VTAMA cream is indicated for the treatment of atopic dermatitis in patients aged 2 years and older and plaque psoriasis in adults.

According to the company, the campaign was informed by market research, extensive clinician feedback, and cultural trend analysis. Organon said the goal is to present the science behind VTAMA in a more memorable way while reaching clinicians across digital channels beyond traditional in-office promotional efforts.

The campaign also reflects a broader evolution in Organon's dermatology strategy, with an emphasis on incorporating prescriber insights and adapting educational and marketing approaches to meet the needs of clinicians navigating an expanding range of nonsteroidal topical treatment options.

"In a category where many treatments are perceived as similar, we saw a clear need to better articulate the clinical profile of this prescription, first-in-class steroid-free topical aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) agonist for the treatment of plaque psoriasis and atopic dermatitis," said Ryan Billings, MS, MBA, Head of US Dermatology Marketing at Organon. "This campaign is about bridging the education gap and underscoring the science behind VTAMA in a way that captures attention, sparks curiosity, and ultimately helps clinicians see where VTAMA could fit into their treatment decisions."
