Practical Dermatology® Launches #PDGivesBack to Support Camp Discovery at AAD 2016

February 29, 2016

Bryn Mawr Communications III’s Practical Dermatology® magazine is inviting attendees at the 74th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) to give back as part of its new “selfless-selfies” campaign.

For every photo shared on Twitter, Practical Dermatology magazine will donate $1 (up to $1,000) to Camp Discovery, a free summer camp for children living with chronic skin diseases.  The 2016 AAD meeting will be held March 4-8 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC.

Participation is easy. Snap a selfie while holding up the Practical Dermatology photo frame, which can be found at Booth 3152. Follow @PracticalDerm on Twitter, and share your photo with the hashtag #PDGivesBack. Practical Dermatology will donate $1 to Camp Discovery for every photo shared during the meeting.

“We are excited to support Camp Discovery and turn our fascination with selfies into something truly selfless,” says Rick Ehrlich, Associate Publisher of Practical Dermatology, Modern Aesthetics®, NewDerm MD, and Dermtube.com at Bryn Mawr Communications III LLC in Wayne, PA.

"The “selfless-selfies” program is a great way for us to engage with our community, and our visitors get to do something good for others,” says Paul Winnington, Editorial Director of Dermatology, Aesthetics, Neurology at Bryn Mawr Communications III LLC. “It’s quick, it’s easy, and just a few seconds at the AAD can make a difference to a child this summer.”

Visit Practical Dermatology® at Booth 3152 during the 2016 AAD exhibit hall hours, which are open Friday, March 4 and Saturday, March 5 from 10am to 5pm and on Sunday, March 6 from 10am to 3pm.
