This visual update signals the first of many changes coming to the publication.
Bryn Mawr Communications, publisher of Practical Dermatology®, has announced a captivating new cover redesign for the magazine, which will debut with their upcoming July issue. This visual update signals the first of many changes coming to the publication.
"We are thrilled to unveil our striking new cover and style redesign, which embodies the progressive spirit of our field and showcases the impactful research and clinical insights that our publication offers,” said Practical DermatologyChief Medical Editor Neal Bhatia, MD, FAAD. "Through this transformative process, we aim to reiterate our commitment to an immersive publication that sparks curiosity, connects readers to important information they can use in their practice, and fosters collaboration among dermatologists and researchers worldwide.”
In response to feedback from their readership, Practical Dermatology will begin rolling out design updates that will enhance the reader experience, simplify the layout, and update the aesthetics of the magazine. Some of these new updates will include layout changes, the addition of more article and column information on the cover, exciting additions to the publication’s editorial board, and the incorporation of the YoungMD Connect (YMDC) mentorship program into the publication’s content. YMDC is a membership-based mentorship and educational platform for soon to be and newly practicing physicians dedicated to the fields of dermatology and/or aesthetics.
“We are excited for these new features for Practical Dermatology, driven primarily by feedback from our audience, which continues to set a high bar,” said Chief Cosmetic Surgery Editor Joel Schlessinger, MD, FAAD. “The redesigned look is a testament to the publication’s emphasis on both content and presentation.”
To increase readership and ensure Practical Dermatologyis well-positioned to deliver the optimal user experience for both the present and the future of the dermatology specialty, its new publication team surveyed readers, editorial board members, physician authors, and their Chief Editors. The feedback was comprehensive and revealed a desire for a more streamlined and visually engaging style for the publication.
“Practical Dermatologyhas been a mainstay in the specialty for over 15 years, and we want to be sure we’re on top of the evolving landscape of dermatology news by continuing to provide the most engaging, timely, and practical content available that will help dermatologists in their daily practice,” added Dr. Bhatia. “Our readers deserve a publication that not only highlights the most important cutting-edge research and specialty news but also delivers a unique and captivating visual and aesthetic experience.”
