Residents of Distinction Attend 2018 Coastal Dermatology Symposium
As part of the dermMentors Resident of Distinction Award program, sponsored by Beiersdorf Inc., five dermatology residents attended the 14th Annual Coastal Dermatology Symposium, held in Monterey, CA October 3-6, 2018.
The 2018 dermMentors™ Residents of Distinction – Rana Abdat, MD, of Tufts University Medical Center, Jusleen Ahluwalia, MD, of the University of California-San Diego, Betty Kong, MD, of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Angelo Landriscina, MD, of George Washington University, and Ming Lee, MD, of Boston University School of Medicine – attended the Coastal Dermatology Symposium scientific sessions as well as networking events with top thought leaders in dermatology. The residents presented new scientific research during an independent mentoring session, which was held on Friday, October 5.
Angelo Landriscina, MD, a third-year resident in dermatology at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, was awarded the overall grand prize for his presentation, entitled: “Silver Sulfadiazine Retards Wound Healing in Mice via Alterations in Cytokine Expression.”
