Sturge-Weber Foundation to Host Dermatology Roundtable
The Sturge-Weber Foundation (SWF) is holding a Dermatology Discussion Roundtable meeting on March 5, 2016, at the Marriott Marquis in Washington, DC. Attendees of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) conference are invited to attend this breakfast meeting from 7:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the Judiciary Square meeting room at the Marriott.
SWF says the main topic of the roundtable will be Setting Dermatology Standards in Clinical and Strategic Research Planning, which will serve as a springboard in preparing for the fall 2016 SWF International Research Network (SWFIRN) meeting in September 2016. It will address strategic directions within the dermatological aspects of Sturge-Weber syndrome (SWS).
Also on the agenda will be updates on the activities of the SWF Centers of Excellence at 20 US medical centers as well as progress on the current SWF Research Fellowship applications.
The SWF, founded in 1987, is an international organization serving individuals and families affected by SWS and other port wine birthmark conditions, with education, research, public information, and friendly support.
