Sun Pharma announced a partnership with fashion designer Christian Siriano on "Regrowth Restyled," a new awareness campaign focused on confidence, self-expression and hair growth support for adults living with severe alopecia areata.
Launched during Alopecia Areata Awareness Month, the campaign includes a wearable garment created by Siriano and inspired by hair regrowth. The piece first debuted September 17 following New York Fashion Week.
“As a designer, I've always believed style is a form of self-expression – and for adults living with severe alopecia areata, hair loss can complicate that expression in ways that go far beyond appearance,” Siriano said in the announcement.
Alopecia Areata Campaign Connects Fashion, Hair Regrowth, and Treatment Awareness
The campaign also encourages adults with severe alopecia areata to discuss treatment options with their dermatologist, including LEQSELVI (deuruxolitinib), Sun Pharma’s FDA-approved oral Janus kinase inhibitor for adults with severe alopecia areata.
Clinical trials cited by the company showed that 3% of patients treated with deuruxolitinib achieved near-complete scalp hair coverage by 8 weeks, while approximately one-third reached that outcome by 24 weeks. The drug carries warnings for serious adverse events, including serious infections, malignancies, major adverse cardiovascular events, thrombosis, and gastrointestinal perforations.
“Regrowth Restyled reflects our commitment to supporting people living with severe alopecia areata at every stage of their journey,” said John Bujnoski, vice president and head of Dermatology & Immunology, U.S. Innovative Medicines at Sun Pharma.
