The National Eczema Association Names Amy Fauver New VP For Advocacy & Access

09/15/2015

The National Eczema Association (NEA) named Amy Fauver as Vice President for Advocacy and Access. The NEA says in this new position, Ms. Fauver will build its advocacy capacity and better leverage the voices of the eczema community, enhancing NEA’s ability to create meaningful changes in eczema care and treatment.

Ms. Fauver brings more than fifteen years of experience in strategic communications, coalition-building, program development, and government relations to NEA. Previously, she served as Chief Communications Officer of Cover Oregon, Oregon's Health Insurance Marketplace, and was responsible for all outreach, government affairs, communications, and marketing efforts.

Ms. Fauver will position NEA to deliver stronger, more united messages to insurers, medical providers, and policy-makers on behalf of the eczema community. She will also lead targeted efforts to make better eczema medical care and accessible and affordable new treatments realities. The VP for Advocacy and Access position is the result of a strategic planning process that resulted in NEA’s Roadmap to Advocacy.

For the first time, there are more than 40 new eczema treatments in development and exciting advances in research that could, if affordable, radically lift the burden of eczema for millions of people.
