Dermatologists from around the country have contributed tips to Vivacare’s education resources and Physician Directory, and the company is inviting others to join in. In honor of Psoriasis Awareness Month, Vivacare is requesting dermatologists share insights regarding psoriasis and its treatment. 

Vivacare provides dermatologists with an in-depth collection of patient education resources that they can easily personalize with their own content and professional perspective.

Dr. Mark Becker, Pediatrician and Founder and CEO of Vivacare says, “Vivacare wants to make it easy for physicians to share their expertise with patients. Among contributors is nationally recognized psoriasis expert Steve Feldman, MD, Professor of Dermatology at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and member of the Medical Board of the National Psoriasis Foundation. Dr. Feldman shares his insight on biologics, phototherapy, corticosteroids, vitamin D derivatives, and more in his approach to treating psoriasis. “Although there is no cure for psoriasis, there are a variety of effective treatment options that can clear the skin lesions caused by psoriasis,” Dr. Feldman states.

Dermatologist LindaSusan Marcus, MD also describes her general approach to treating psoriasis, the usefulness of topical medications for mild psoriasis, and the role of biologics for more severe cases. “I encourage my patients to choose an appropriate biologic and one that fits into their lifestyle as well. This is a partnership between my patients and me.”
