Cutera’s AviClear received the FDA’s nod for the treatment of mild, moderate, and severe acne in March 2022. This laser targets acne at the source by selectively targeting the sebocytes and suppressing sebum production. Studies have shown that after three 30-minute treatment sessions, 90% of patients had a visible improvement in their acne at 6 months. Now, new 12-month clinical findings show this improvement increases to 92%, confirming the continual improvement of acne clearance and skin quality over time.

Before: The patient has had moderate acne that tended to flare for several years (left).
After: The patient underwent three full-face treatments with the AviClear laser. This patient was treated every 2.5 weeks. The patient achieved good results that are getting better with even more time after completing her series (right).
Update: Her acne has improved even more over the last couple of months. She is 5 months out from treatment. (The above photos are from 3 months out.)
