An Exciting Integration of Two Cosmetic Conferences
After 13 years of running Cosmetic Surgery Forum on my own, I am excited to announce the integration of Cosmetic Surgery Forum into the Multispecialty Aesthetic Conference (MAC), to be held in Hilton Head from March 27-30, 2025 at the oceanfront Westin Hilton Head Island Resort. It is going to be a great opportunity to see and meet with leaders in the field in a convivial manner in a beautiful location, all while earning up to 34 CE credits.
Dr. Randy Waldman, the founder of MAC, and I have known each other for over 20 years and have always respected how we ran meetings, often collaborating on individual tasks. Dr. Waldman is a facial plastic surgeon and is the founder of several national and international meetings. When the opportunity came to join forces and enlarge the scope and purpose of Cosmetic Surgery Forum, I was delighted as it gave us the chance to work together once more and offer another unique learning opportunity for both dermatologists and cosmetic surgeons.
Cosmetic Surgery Forum has always been known for its didactic, yet Socratic approach to CME and this meeting will be much the same format. There will be a focus on sessions that train how to be a cosmetic dermatologist, from beginners to advanced techniques. Mohs surgery techniques, repairs and pointers will be presented as well. Dr. Patrick Bitter will present a keynote lecture on the evolution of light therapy for facial rejuvenation and other aspects of the ongoing development of Broadband light therapy. Melanie Palm will present on non-surgical approaches to facial rejuvenation along with approximately 60 other stellar faculty members.
This meeting will have two tracks concurrently running, one that is invasive and the other that is less invasive. While these roughly correspond to plastic surgery/facial plastic surgery track and dermatologic/cosmetic surgery track, there will be some overlap among them and all participants are welcome in either room.
Additionally, we will have sessions ranging from ‘How I do it?’ to complications, pearls and keynote lectures from internationally recognized facial plastic, plastic and dermatologic faculty. I know this will be a fun time and being a part of the first year will be particularly special.
To register, please go to www.maconference.org. Room blocks are available but will sell out quickly as this is a very popular time in Hilton Head and perfect timing for golf and outdoor activities. We look forward to seeing you with us at this inaugural dual meeting.
P.S. Hilton Head has once again been named the top island resort destination in the United States! Be sure to bring the entire family or reward your hard-working staff.
