Tata Harper's limited-edition seasonal release of its awardwinning Resurfacing Mask is enhanced with the moisturizing qualities of wild plum hydrosol, harvested from the blossoms of Prunus Americana, Wild Plum, and Purple French clay. According to the company, this mild, non-abrasive beta hydroxyl peel treatment instantly reveals healthy new cells, traps hydration to promote elasticity and tone, and decongests and purifies for visibly reduced pores. The clear-drying mask can be used as a spot treatment to reduce redness and inflammation. Patients with oily skin can use up to three to four times per week and as an overnight mask treatment.

Adding to the company's offerings of crème and liquid foundations, Dermablend will begin to offer a new full coverage powder foundation this month with the new Intense Powder Camo. According to Dermablend, the new foundation effectively covers redness, rosacea, uneven skin tone, acne, acne scars, and birthmarks. The powder contains ultra-soft “micro-cushions” that provide a soft finish. It contains light oils that provide comfort to the skin, and the powder's finish offers a smooth, soft-focus look. It lasts all day, is smudge-resistant, water-resistant, and transfer resistant, Dermablend says. The powder controls shine and absorbs oil and is offered in a range of 10 true-to tone shades plus five darker shades that will launch next year.

Karin Herzog's Vitamin H Face Cream is now available. This ultra-hydrating day cream is formulated with vitamins and other nourishing ingredients to hydrate all skin types, especially dry and mature skin. The moisture-rich formula helps replenish the essential lipids that are typically less abundant in dry winter skin, according to the company. Beta carotene helps to refine, detoxify, and firm the complexion while fending off free radicals. Soy protein comforts and nurtures distressed skin while a vitamin B complex accelerates cell regeneration. The company explains that the ingredients work synergistically to restore elasticity and firmness for a more vibrant and youthful looking complexion.

Silk'n Blue, an FDA approved, hand-held device that targets acne breakouts and prevents future blemishes, is available for patients. The device uses blue light emitting diode (LED) technology combined with infrared heat radiation intended to combat the root causes of acne in a safe, drug-free way. According to the company, blue light destroys existing acne-causing bacteria residing beneath the skin's surface, while the dermal heating system addresses oil-over-producing glands to provide a smoother, clearer complexion. The built-in safeguards use a temperature sensor embedded in the applicator that ensure the skin's surface will not exceed 106°F.
