New émergence Cell Rejuvenation Complex Available

Pro+Therapy MD recently launched the émergence Cell Rejuvenation Complex. Utilizing the proprietary Prosome delivery system of kinetin and zeatin, the complex allows for the slow release of plant-derived growth factors to nourish cells and help improve the visible signs of aging, the company says. Kinerase Line Launches in July

The new line by Kinerase will include three core products, available in July at ULTA and Ulta.com. Advanced Eye Cream, Advanced Lotion, and Advanced Cream all include Kinerase's ingredient, kinetin, for gentle reduction in fine lines and wrinkles, the comapny says, as well as a new complex, HA3 Technology. Kinerase's HA3 Technology is intended to complement kinetin to improve the skin's appearance in a gentle, effective way. Spot Treatment for Sun Damage

NIA 24 Rapid Depigmentation Serum and NIA 24 Depigmentation Spot Repair are now available. After 12 weeks, the NIA 24 Rapid Depigmentation products helped to improve skin tone, radiance and pigment intensity for a more even, younger looking complexion, according to the company. New Isotretinoin Formulation Approved

A novel isotretinoin formulation for the treatment of severe recalcitrant nodular acne will soon be available from Ranbaxy. FDA-approved Absorica (cis-isotretinoin), is expected to launch in the fourth quarter of this year. Absorica was developed by Cipher and Galephar Pharmaceutical Research and will be distributed by Ranbaxy. Under the agreement, Cipher will receive a $9 million milestone from Ranbaxy, approximately US $4.5 million of which will be shared with Galephar. Going forward, Cipher will also receive royalties on net sales and is eligible for future milestone payments based on sales targets. Under the agreement with Ranbaxy, Cipher is responsible for product supply and manufacturing.

Retinoid Foam Approved

Fabior Foam, 0.1% (tazarotene, Stiefel/ GSK) is approved for the treatment of acne vulgaris in patients 12 years and older. FDA approval was based on two multi-center, randomized, double-blind, vehicle-controlled pivotal Phase 3 studies, in which a total of 1,485 patients with moderate-to-severe acne vulgaris were randomized 1:1 to Fabior Foam or vehicle applied once daily for 12 weeks. Investigators evaluated acne severity using lesion counts and the six-point Investigator's Global Assessment (IGA) scale. Patients using Fabior foam experienced a 56 percent reduction in total lesion counts in both studies, as well as an IGA reduction of 29 percent and 28 percent, respectively. Fabior Foam is contraindicated in pregnancy and may cause fetal harm when administered in pregnant women.
