Aerolase Art of Diversity Conference Continues Growing
Aerolase’s third annual Art of Diversity conference in Jersey City, New Jersey, lived up to its name, with a diverse mix of practitioners and content that led to an engaging educational program.
“The whole idea of the Art of Diversity for Skin Health is that there is an eclectic community of medical professionals treating skin,” Aerolase VP of Marketing Sean Johnson said. “It’s not just dermatology and it’s not just plastic surgery. It’s not just doctors. We feel that there is a significant need for education across this space based on these different people and the various skin types, skin conditions, ages, and backgrounds of the patients they treat.”
The group of 250 dermatologists, plastic surgeons, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, extenders, and more included approximately 60% Aerolase users.
“We’re not just focused on selling our devices; we’re dedicated to building a community that values education and collaboration in aesthetic medicine,” Johnson explained. “Whether someone owns all our devices or is simply interested in learning more, our goal is to provide a space where everyone can connect, share knowledge, and advocate for advancements in the field.”
The event has doubled in size each year. This year’s program featured more than a dozen speakers from various specialties and parts of the country.
“The faculty is a highly diverse mix of people from different specialties, geographic areas, and communities, focusing on a good blend of medical and aesthetic skin treatment,” Aerolase chief operating officer Joe Hurley said. “It was really informative for attendees who are considering lasers as well as combination therapies, whether that include injectables, topicals, or systemic drugs.”
Topics included pigmentary disorders, acne, psoriasis, alopecia, vascular conditions, facial rejuvenation, body rejuvenation, combination therapy, technology, and practice management.
“In our third year, it’s amazing to see the growth in terms of not only attendees but also the content and the way that the whole community comes together,” Aerolase Director of Dermatology Sales Krista McCabe said. “Whether you are a dermatologist, a med spa owner, or a plastic surgeon, we are all coming together and talking about how to treat patients clinically and effectively while building a very profitable business around the Aerolase technology.”
Aerolase Director of Dermatology Marketing Gabe Gruboy said the event was the perfect platform for practitioners in medical aesthetics to connect and learn from each other.
“It’s inspiring to see so many eager to learn and engage,” Gruboy said, “especially around the advancements they’re seeking us out for.”
