And Then There Were Three: Alma Lasers Inc. Hair Removal Platform Now Comprises Three Wavelengths
Alma Lasers now offers 1064 Nd: YAG capabilities along with 810nm and 755nm on its Soprano ICE platform, allowing users to better match wavelength to hair removal patient.
Alma added Alexandrite technology to its Soprano ICE platform in 2014 for tougher hair removal cases. Now, with the addition of Nd: YAG technology, providers can use the 1064 wavelength to address unwanted body hair especially on darker skin types. In addition, this module can also be used for the treatment of Pseudo Folliculitis Barbae (PFB).
"Soprano ICE is already legendary," says Avi Farbstein, CEO of Alma Lasers North America, in a news release. "The device has seven years of clinically proven effectiveness and is FDA cleared for skin types I-VI, including tanned skin. Providers have the advantages of pre-set parameters and a light, ergonomic applicator. Most of all, they are able to offer extremely comfortable hair removal with maximized results and minimal risk of adverse side effects. The addition of 1064 YAG capabilities makes it even better."
