Markets for aesthetic lasers are projected to $5.392 billion by 2032, according to a new report from Polaris Market Research.

Most recently valued at $1.163 billion in 2022, the market is expected to reach $5.392 billion by 2032, exhibiting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.6%.

"The demand for cosmetic laser treatments is expected to rise due to several factors, including an aging population, a high prevalence of obesity, and the availability of a wide range of safe and effective treatments," the report summary said. "Additionally, increasing awareness about lasers’ safety and effectiveness, and ease of use is driving their cosmetic applications."

Multiplatform lasers, combining treatments for multiple indications into a unified system, currently are dominant, according to the report. Non-invasive tightening segment has the largest market share, a reflection of the market driven by an aging demographic skin rejuvenation treatments for tightening and resurfacing. The report said that that advancements in tech that deliver for a market seeking non- and minimally-invasive cosmetic procedures are a key driver of the future growth.

Key players in the space include Lumenis, Candela Corporation, Cynosure, Ellex Aesthetic Lasers, and Cutera.
